My paintings are always informed by some place I've been or some experience I've had. In this piece, you get a sense of time and motion. I'm always aware of the wind and changing light. This piece is interesting to me because during the process of painting it, I was influenced by some of the plein air paintings I did during that time. So not only does it represent time, time played an active role in it's making. And because of its large size, painting with my whole body and expansive arm movement, my body was involved in the movement of the scene.
